I would like to welcome you on behalf of the management team and all the staff working in our Engineering School.
Since 1902, we have been training engineers in what was the Escuela General de Industrias (Industry General School) which, together with Madrid, Alcoy, Béjar, Gijón, Cartagena, Tarrasa, Vigo, Villanueva y la Geltrú, were the locations chosen for the first Higher Schools of Industry in Spain, as stated in the ROYAL DECREE OF 17/08/1901.
The training given in our centre is of high quality, although we continue to improving it in order to arrange ourselves in the position of importance that we have historically occupied.
Our team consists of more than 300 teachers who have a deep knowledge of the different areas of engineering. Furthemore, currently in our centre there are more than 3,000 students learning and using properly equipped and updated laboratories.

Our objectives are the following ones:
To train people to lead or to be a part of the technical team of industries and operations related to engineering in its different fields depending on the specialties studied.
Graduates in both versatile and generalist engineering valid in the industrial world (defined by competences for business R&D departments), who aim for positions of responsibility in companies, leading multidisciplinary work teams or dedicated to teaching.
To provide our students with a solid scientific training as well as a wide variety of education in different technologies that will provide them the necessary knowledge as multidisciplinary professionals.
To design, develop, implement, manage and improve products, systems and processes in different industrial fields, using the appropriate analytical, computational or experimental techniques.
